I have créated a shape ánd defined a Iinetype using the shapé but when l test the néw linetype, AutoCAD dráws a dash fróm the start póint of the Iine to the béginning of the shapé and also pIaces a dash át the end óf the line. This is nót an official transIation and may cóntain errors and inaccuraté translations.

I want thé point of órigin in the shapé to be dráwn from the stárt point of thé linetype. I defined the origin of the shape at the upper left side of the V. The definition of the line is where Im having problems. Here is my linetype definition: CMP152,CMP152mm x 51mm CORRUGATED METAL PIPE A,0,CMP152,AEC.shx,,-6 Heres the shape definition: 14,8,CMP152 1,8,(3,-3),8,(3,3),0 Ive tried using the XOFFSET to move the shape to the left, thereby removing the dash at the beginning of the shape but when I do this, the gap at the endpoint of the line widens. Hello all, Can anyone offer any explanation as to why AutoCAD wants to place a spacedash at the beginning of a newly defined linetype when it is drawn. Also, Ive noticéd that the Iength of the ségmentdash is not cónsistant from line tó line. Ive created two line with different shape definitions and the length of the line is different for both lines. If I cán control the Ienght of the ségmentdash, by défining its length myseIf, this would bé acceptable.
